Alyssa Bokovoy began her yoga journey in 2014, a passion that led her to become a certified yoga instructor in 2016. Her dedication to learning is evident in her extensive training:
- 2016: Core Power Yoga 200-hour (Honolulu)
- 2017: Salt Lake Power Yoga 200-hour
- 2017: Vikasa Yoga School’s 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT)
- 2018: Universal Yoga 300-hour
- 2019: Ashtanga Series 2 Workshop with Sharath Jois (New York)
- 2020: Universal Yoga 100-hour Tantric Tibetan Internal practice
- 2022: Training with Gokulacandra in Miami
Alyssa's dedication to her practice culminated in her achievement of E-RYT 500 certification through Yoga Alliance, signifying over 4,000 hours of teaching experience. Her commitment to yoga resonates deeply in her teaching.
In addition, Alyssa served as the head of the Yoga department at Snowbird from 2019 to 2021. She brought and taught cross mat to The Front from 2021 to 2023. She has been teaching cross mat classes at her own yoga school since 2019 and doesn't plan on stopping.
Alyssa is now focused on nurturing her online yoga school, The Yoga Establishment, where she combines yogic philosophy, physical asana, and monastic techniques. Her teaching style is a harmonious blend of various yoga systems, rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga principles. She welcomes all who seek to explore their full potential in yoga.
Her current guru is the Dao, and she has trained under esteemed instructors like Gokulacandra, Andrey Lappa, Will Lao, Simon Low, Kota Miachin, Sammy Brown, and S Jois.
In addition to her notable teaching roles at Snowbird and The Front, Alyssa is excited to announce her new venture, teaching aerial silks yoga at Brick Canvas.
